Remote Cloud Engineer – AWS Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure for high‑traffic applications. This remote contract position offers the chance to work with a global leader in software development and IT consulting, focusing on performance, cost‑efficiency, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Monitor system health with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third‑party tools.
• Troubleshoot incidents related to AWS services, networking, and security.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices for compliance and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with AWS services and architecture.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong Linux/Unix background and shell‑scripting abilities.
• Understanding of security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance frameworks.
