About the role
We are seeking a part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader on a remote basis. The analyst will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and help protect critical infrastructure and sensitive data.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact and root cause.
- Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
- Prepare detailed incident reports documenting findings and recommendations.
Required profile
- Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
- Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls and IDS/IPS.
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys).
- Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Ability to analyse logs and network traffic for anomalies.
- Experience with incident response procedures.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
