Remote Cybersecurity Specialist – Penetration Testing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join a leading information services firm on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities across networks, web applications, and APIs to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, including network, web application, and API penetration testing.
• Run vulnerability scans, analyze results, and pinpoint security weaknesses.
• Develop and execute custom exploits to validate risks and simulate real‑world attacks.
• Document findings in detailed reports with remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to triage issues and verify fixes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret technical data and communicate results clearly.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.
