Remote Go Developer – Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Go Developer to join a leading software development firm on a contract basis. You will design, build, and maintain high‑performance microservices and APIs, working fully remotely with teams across time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise backend services using Go to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to architectural and security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on Go (Golang) development experience.
• Proven experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Strong grasp of concurrency, data structures, and algorithms in Go.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerisation (Docker).
