Remote Go Developer – Contract

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Go Developer to join our client’s remote team on a contract basis. You will design, build, and maintain high‑performance microservices and APIs using Go, supporting real‑time data processing for a global software leader.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise backend services in Go to improve performance and reliability.
• Design, implement and maintain RESTful APIs and micro‑service architectures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to architectural and security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on Go (Golang) development experience.
• Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, data structures, and algorithms in Go.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and containerisation (Docker).
