Remote LLM Trainer (Agent Function Call)

About the role

Turing is seeking a Remote LLM Trainer to help foundational large language model companies improve their AI assistants. You will create high‑quality multi‑turn conversations that simulate real user interactions with function‑calling tools, providing data for fine‑tuning and evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi‑turn dialogues that mimic real user‑assistant interactions using tools such as calendar, email, maps, and drive.
• Play both the user and the assistant, including realistic tool‑call sequences when corrections are needed.
• Select appropriate moments for tool usage, ensuring logical flow and correct function calls.
• Produce conversations that showcase natural language, intelligent behavior, and contextual understanding across several turns.
• Generate examples that demonstrate task completion, recognition of infeasible requests, and engaging general chat when tools are unnecessary.
• Follow strict formatting and quality guidelines outlined in an internal playbook.
• Iterate on examples based on reviewer feedback to improve realism and clarity.
• Collaborate with peers and reviewers to maintain consistency and high standards.

Required profile

• Strong technical reasoning ability and capacity to model real‑world assistant behavior using tool‑based APIs.
• Aptitude for breaking down complex tasks into realistic dialogue sequences.
• Excellent written English communication with focus on clarity, tone, and instructional coherence.
• Creativity in crafting believable user goals and assistant responses.
