Remote Part-Time Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to work remotely on a part‑time basis. You will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and help protect critical systems and data for a global technology leader.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
• Investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact, and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation.
• Prepare detailed incident reports with findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Attention to detail and effective time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security protocols.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys.
• Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Proficiency in log analysis and incident response procedures.
