Remote Tax Accountant (EA/CPA)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Tax Accountant with EA or CPA credentials to work remotely, preparing federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses. The position supports a global accounting firm and requires accurate, compliant filing for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Ensure all filings comply with current tax laws and regulations.
• Research complex tax issues and provide actionable recommendations.
• Maintain client records and documentation in accordance with tax standards.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
• Minimum three years of experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax preparation software such as TurboTax or Drake.
• Experience using tax preparation software platforms.
• EA or CPA certification.
