About the role

We are seeking a qualified Tax Accountant with EA or CPA credentials to join our team remotely. The role involves preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns for both individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance and accuracy for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Ensure all filings comply with current tax laws and regulations.
• Research complex tax issues and provide clear recommendations.
• Maintain client records and documentation in line with tax standards.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes and regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax preparation software such as TurboTax or Drake.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
