Resident Medical Officer

About the role

The Institute for Mental Health Care is seeking a Resident Medical Officer to join its clinical team. The role involves providing direct patient care within a mental health setting, working under the supervision of senior physicians and contributing to the institute’s mission of quality mental health services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with mental health conditions.
• Prescribe and monitor appropriate treatments, including medication and therapy referrals.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols during a fixed 6‑hour shift.

Required profile

• MBBS degree with a valid PMDC registration.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in a reputable healthcare facility.
• Both male and female candidates are welcome.
• Willingness to work a fixed morning or evening shift.
