Restaurant Financial Analyst

About the role

Our client Jamil's Restaurant is seeking a detail‑oriented Restaurant Financial Analyst to support financial operations in Karachi. The role focuses on accurate record‑keeping, cost control, payroll processing and inventory management to drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records for daily sales, expenses and profit margins.
• Analyse food and beverage costs, identify variances and recommend cost‑optimisation measures.
• Process payroll in compliance with labour laws and company policies.
• Record transactions, reconcile accounts and generate reports using accounting software and ERP systems.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans for the restaurant.
• Conduct regular inventory and food‑cost audits to minimise waste.
• Collaborate with chefs, managers and suppliers to track inventory affecting food costing.
• Provide financial insights on profit margins and suggest improvement actions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and tax obligations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including reconciliations and accruals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, preferably with a finance focus.
• Minimum three years of experience in finance or accounting within the hospitality or restaurant sector.
• Strong understanding of cost control, payroll processing and inventory management.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for financial modelling and reporting.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
