Rope Access Technician Level 1

About the role

Teleport Manpower Consultants is seeking a Rope Access Technician Level 1 to perform rope‑access tasks for industrial maintenance, inspection, cleaning and basic repairs at client sites in Islamabad. The position works under the supervision of site supervisors and must comply with company safety rules and permit‑to‑work systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rope‑access work at height under supervision, including inspections, cleaning, sealing and basic repairs.
• Set up, inspect and dismantle rope‑access systems and associated equipment according to procedures.
• Follow site‑specific permits, confined‑space and fall‑protection procedures; wear required PPE at all times.
• Assist lead technicians with rigging, moving tools and materials, and maintain clear job‑site communication.
• Report defects, unsafe conditions and incidents immediately to supervisors and complete required paperwork.
• Carry out routine checks on equipment and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• Valid IRATA Level 1 or SPRAT‑equivalent rope‑access certification (or verifiable training and experience).
• Practical experience with single‑point and twin‑rope systems, knots, anchors and basic rigging.
• Familiarity with fall‑arrest and fall‑restraint systems, harnesses, lanyards and connectors.
• Ability to perform basic inspection and visual checks of ropes, hardware and PPE to industry standards.
• Good physical fitness, balance and comfort working at heights.
• Basic hand‑tool skills for minor repairs, sealing, cleaning and surface preparation.
• Ability to follow written procedures and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
