Sales Executive - Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Paysa is hiring a Sales Executive for Merchant Acquiring in Islamabad and Karachi. The role covers acquiring new merchants, generating leads, promoting payment solutions, managing merchant relationships and hitting assigned sales and transaction-volume targets. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM PKST.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new merchants through field visits, referrals and lead generation.
• Promote merchant acquiring solutions, including POS and digital payment services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential merchants, and follow up on leads until they become active merchants.
• Prepare and submit merchant onboarding and KYC documents accurately, and coordinate with Operations teams for onboarding.
• Ensure timely deployment and activation of POS and payment solutions.
• Achieve monthly sales, acquisition and transaction-volume targets, and keep daily and weekly sales reports and the sales pipeline updated.
• Handle merchant queries, monitor competitors and give market feedback to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, KYC requirements and onboarding procedures, and report suspected fraud promptly.

Required profile

• Intermediate or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, banking, fintech, digital payments or merchant acquiring; experience in Islamabad or Karachi is required.
• Fresh graduates with strong communication and sales skills may also be considered.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and to work against sales targets.

Required skills

• Lead generation, merchant acquisition and sales visits.
• Basic knowledge of POS machines, digital payments, QR payments and merchant onboarding is an advantage.
• Ability to build and maintain merchant relationships.
