Sales Executive Upwork & Freelancer

About the role

Tozola Tech is looking for a Sales Executive who will generate new business through Upwork, Freelancer and similar professional marketplaces. The role is fully remote and focuses on finding technology project opportunities, crafting persuasive proposals and turning qualified prospects into long‑term clients.

Key responsibilities

• Research and shortlist relevant software, web, mobile and digital technology projects on freelance platforms.
• Write tailored proposals, cover letters, capability statements and bids that match client requirements.
• Engage prospects via platform messaging, discovery discussions and professional follow‑ups.
• Collaborate with developers and project leads to prepare scopes, estimates, timelines and solution summaries.
• Maintain opportunity records, proposal status, follow‑up schedules and client communication history.
• Track marketplace trends, competitor positioning, conversion rates and business development results.
• Support contract discussions and ensure commercially sound responses.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Upwork, Freelancer or comparable online B2B marketplaces.
• Strong proposal writing, business communication, negotiation and client discovery skills.
• Ability to understand and present technology services such as web development, mobile applications, software solutions and digital products.
• Proficiency in researching project requirements, qualifying leads, developing value propositions and preparing tailored bids.
• Confident coordination with technical teams on scope, feasibility, estimates and delivery expectations.
• Organized pipeline management, timely follow‑up and accurate activity reporting.
• Results‑oriented approach with professional persistence and strong attention to detail.
