Sales Manager - Grid Automation (Bahrain & Pakistan)

About the role

As part of the Saudi Cluster Commercial team, the Sales Manager (Grid Automation) drives orders and commercial business in the assigned sub-region of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Reporting to the Sub-Region Sales Director, the role acts as the main interface for Grid Automation (GA) sales and commercial activities, covering Substation Protection, Substation Automation, MnD and Critical Infrastructure Communications. It focuses on building and deploying sales strategies, go-to-market plans and key account management to meet operating plan targets.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute proposal strategies, including deal structuring, pricing and proposal development
• Target and close deals in Bahrain and Pakistan, and build pipelines so opportunity volume matches the Operating Plan
• Act as the main GA interface for Sales and Commercial teams, working with GA Tendering, Operations, Growth and Sales Operations
• Coordinate with other Grid Solutions Sales teams across the region
• Use knowledge of territories, product lines and market dynamics to identify new opportunities with functional partners
• Solve complex day-to-day project, market and customer issues using analytical thinking
• Mentor colleagues, lead small projects and help build team consensus

Required profile

• Engineering degree from an accredited university
• Minimum 10 years of technical experience in the Grid Automation portfolio and similar products, within the GCC/KSA market
• Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
• Sales experience is preferable
