SecOps Security Engineer (L2/L3) – Network & Security Operations

About the role

NorthBay Solutions, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner with distributed teams across the US, Canada, UAE, India and Pakistan, is looking for a Senior Security Engineer (L2/L3) to join its 24x7 Security Operations Center. The role focuses on network and security operations, ensuring the protection of enterprise environments through hands‑on management of firewalls, web‑application firewalls, endpoint protection and related security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Check Point, Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
• Implement, review and maintain firewall policies, ACLs, NAT and security rules.
• Administer WAF, IPS, VPN, MFA and proxy security solutions.
• Support endpoint security platforms including EDR, DLP and antivirus.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and produce incident reports.
• Review security logs, alerts and operational events for audit and compliance.
• Execute security hardening, vulnerability remediation and security audits.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs and operational reports.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery exercises and readiness testing.

Required profile

• 4–10 years of experience in IT security operations supporting enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident‑response capabilities.
• Experience with security governance, audit and compliance requirements.

Required skills

• Check Point, Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls.
• WAF and IPS technologies.
• VPN and MFA administration.
• Endpoint security (EDR, DLP, AV).
• Security incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Firewall rule review and security audits.
• Vulnerability management.
• ITSM processes (incident, change, problem management).
