About the role
The Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC) seeks a dynamic Secretary General to lead the organization. Reporting directly to the Board, the role is based in Karachi and will represent OCAC at national and international forums, driving the council’s mission to support Pakistan’s downstream oil sector.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute business strategies aligned with OCAC’s vision and objectives.
- Provide strong leadership and oversee overall management of the council.
- Maintain and deepen relationships with members, government ministries, and regulatory agencies.
- Represent OCAC in stakeholder engagements to address industry concerns.
- Monitor regulatory, financial, legal, operational and contractual developments locally and globally, keeping the Board informed.
Required profile
- University degree from a reputable HEC‑recognized institution.
- Minimum 20 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in a senior executive leadership role.
- Proven track record managing a large portfolio in the downstream petroleum sector, either locally or internationally.
- Deep knowledge of oil and petroleum sector dynamics worldwide.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, financial and management capabilities.
