Senior Assistant Manager – Plant Control

About the role

Bestway Cement is looking for a Senior Assistant Manager – Plant Control to join its Works Department at the Hattar plant. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, inventory optimisation and robust cost‑control measures within a cement manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain costing and budgeting models for plant operations.
• Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects and track related financial performance.
• Prepare and analyse performance reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of financial targets.
• Optimise inventory levels and implement cost‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• MBA in Finance or ACMA (part‑qualified) degree.
• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in a plant‑based finance role.
• Technical knowledge of cement manufacturing processes.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for financial data management.
