Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level backend engineer to join our design‑driven team in Lahore. You will build standards‑first back‑ends for modern web and mobile products, with a focus on robust API design and emerging Gen AI features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship scalable Python services using Django and FastAPI, treating OpenAPI 3.0 as the single source of truth.
• Model, query, and maintain data across PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Neo4j, ensuring performance and integrity.
• Containerize applications with Docker, provision infrastructure with Terraform, and deploy on AWS, Heroku, or GCP.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, configure Nginx/Traefik, and manage integrations with services such as SendGrid, Twilio, Stripe, OpenAI, and others.
• Develop backend components that support AI‑driven features, including LLM wrappers, agent orchestration, and retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong Python expertise and deep knowledge of API craftsmanship.
• Standards‑first mindset that keeps complex systems maintainable.
• Interest in growing with Gen AI technologies without shifting to a research role.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Lahore.
