Senior Cameraman – Karachi Bureau

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cameraman to join our Karachi bureau for CNA TV. The role involves capturing and editing high‑quality video for news, current affairs and documentary programmes, and supporting live broadcasts using bonded cellular and satellite technology.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and execute optimal technical setups for filming, including camera operation, lighting and sound recording.
• Operate LiveU, BGAN or similar bonded cellular/satellite devices for live broadcasts and remote productions.
• Edit video deliverables, ensuring narrative coherence and broadcast technical standards.
• Maintain and manage cameras, studio equipment, video editing facilities and transmission devices.
• Collaborate with correspondents, editors, producers and headquarters staff to plan and execute filming and editing.
• Travel to various regions, including disaster zones or high‑risk areas, for on‑location filming.
• Organise and archive all video footage for future use.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating various camera types.
• Strong knowledge of location lighting and audio recording for indoor and outdoor shoots.
• Good understanding of bonded cellular and satellite transmission devices.
• Basic proficiency with Adobe Premiere and file‑transfer protocols.
• Team player willing to work irregular shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
