Senior DevSecOps Engineer – Remote (Full‑Time)

About the role

Smart Working is looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to secure, scale, and optimise an AI‑powered patent search and analytics platform used by enterprises, law firms, and universities. You will champion a secure‑by‑design approach while enabling fast, reliable software delivery in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance AWS cloud infrastructure supporting the production AI platform.
• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure on AWS, including ECS and EKS.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Deploy, operate and troubleshoot Kubernetes‑based container orchestration.
• Create and maintain Docker‑based container environments.
• Automate provisioning, configuration and workflows with Ansible.
• Build CI/CD pipelines that ensure reliable software releases.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and observability with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Run automated security and compliance validation for SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Embed secure‑by‑design practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, DevSecOps or a closely related role.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience managing production AWS environments, including ECS and EKS.
• Proven ability to work independently and make architectural decisions with minimal supervision.
