Senior Finance Manager

About the role

The Senior Finance Manager will lead day‑to‑day finance and accounts operations for ASA Microfinance Bank, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial activities. This role oversees key finance processes, coordinates closing activities and supports audit and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily finance and accounts operations, including AP, centralized payments, treasury back‑office, GL, fixed assets, reconciliations and reporting.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing, ensuring schedules, reconciliations and documentation are completed on time.
• Prepare and review financial, management and group reporting schedules and periodic financial information.
• Ensure compliance with policies, SOPs, SBP requirements, internal controls and IFRS accounting standards.
• Support statutory, internal, regulatory, tax and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to queries.
• Monitor finance policy adherence, highlight control gaps, exceptions and financial risks.
• Participate in finance process improvement, automation and ERP/Core Banking System enhancements.
• Supervise, guide and develop finance team members, allocating responsibilities and ensuring performance standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA, ACCA, ICAEW) or finalist with articles from a top‑tier firm.
• At least 2–3 years of banking finance department experience.

Required skills

• IFRS specialized accounting standards.
• ERP/Core Banking System knowledge and implementation experience.
