Senior Lecturer – Biomedical Engineering

About the role

Riphah International University seeks an experienced Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering to join its academic faculty in Lahore. The role involves delivering high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate education, supervising laboratory activities, and guiding student projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver course content for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including lectures, tutorials and laboratory sessions.
• Supervise and mentor students in laboratory experiments, project work and research activities, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Update and enhance the curriculum to reflect advances in biomedical signal processing, medical imaging and biomedical instrumentation.
• Engage in scholarly activities such as academic publishing, grant proposal preparation and applied research projects.
• Manage laboratory resources, including equipment maintenance, procurement and compliance with institutional policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote interdisciplinary research and teaching initiatives.
• Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback and support academic development.
• Contribute to departmental quality‑assurance measures and participate in university committees.
• Utilise Learning Management Systems and modern educational technologies to improve course delivery and student engagement.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree (MSc/PhD) in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience at the university level or relevant industry experience.
• Strong record of scholarly publications.
• Familiarity with modern educational technologies and Learning Management Systems.
