Senior Lecturer in Islamic Studies

About the role

The Senior Lecturer in Islamic Studies will join the department at Riphah International University in Islamabad. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality teaching, advancing research, and supporting curriculum development in Islamic Jurisprudence, Hadith Studies and Shariah Compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and tutorials covering core Islamic Studies topics.
• Develop and regularly update course content to reflect current academic standards.
• Conduct and publish research in HEC‑recognised journals.
• Participate in seminars, workshops and departmental committees.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate students.
• Assist in preparing examinations, assessments and reviewing academic materials.
• Support quality‑assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with faculty to foster a productive research culture.
• Represent the department at conferences and external academic forums.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering lectures and tutorials in Islamic Studies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and revise curriculum.
• Track record of publishing research in reputable, HEC‑recognised journals.
• Active participation in academic committees and scholarly events.
• Willingness to mentor undergraduate students and contribute to quality‑assurance activities.
