Senior .NET Backend Engineer (6+ yrs)

About the role

Convo is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (.NET 10) with 6+ years of experience to build scalable, secure, cloud‑native backend services, APIs, MCP servers and multi‑tenant enterprise solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable .NET 10 / ASP.NET Core microservices for studio and marketplace workflows.
• Expose versioned REST APIs and MCP interfaces with proper schema contracts and backward compatibility.
• Build outbound data contracts, token/usage metering, rate limits, quotas and auditable consumption records.
• Implement authentication, authorization, tenant isolation and secure partner/API access using modern identity patterns.
• Develop asynchronous, event‑driven workflows using Azure Service Bus, Kafka or equivalent.
• Apply resilient distributed‑service patterns such as retry, circuit breaker, idempotency and graceful degradation.
• Create data‑access services with Entity Framework Core, SQL Server/PostgreSQL and Redis caching.
• Write automated unit, integration, contract, security and performance tests and ensure full telemetry and observability.

Required profile

• Minimum 6+ years of backend engineering experience, including 3+ years building cloud‑native .NET microservices.
• Strong expertise in C#.NET 10 / .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, dependency injection and asynchronous programming.
• Deep knowledge of REST/GraphQL API design, versioning, OpenAPI/Swagger and API security patterns.
• Proven experience with Azure services (App Service, Container Apps/AKS, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Monitor).
