Senior Patch Management Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Patch Management Engineer to lead enterprise-wide patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance across servers, endpoints, virtualization platforms, applications, and security infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full patch lifecycle: assessment, planning, deployment, validation and reporting.
• Perform patch discovery, inventory, missing‑patch analysis and end‑of‑life tracking.
• Develop and maintain patch baselines, schedules, maintenance windows and deployment plans.
• Plan and execute patches for Windows, Linux/Unix, VMware, databases, middleware and enterprise applications.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑patch health checks, backup verification, pilot testing, service validation and reboot management.
• Troubleshoot patch failures, coordinate rollback activities and work with vendors/OEMs.
• Prioritise CVE remediation, map vulnerabilities to patches and meet SLA‑based targets.
• Handle change requests, CAB approvals and follow ITIL‑based processes.
• Prepare compliance dashboards, management and audit‑ready reports.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in patch management, systems administration, infrastructure or vulnerability management.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server and Linux/Unix patching.
• Experience with VMware and other virtualization platforms.
• Understanding of patching for applications, databases, middleware, network devices and security appliances.
• Proven ability to document, report and manage stakeholders.

Required skills

• SCCM/MECM, WSUS, Tanium, BigFix, Ivanti or ManageEngine Endpoint Central.
• ITIL, Change Management, CAB and rollback procedures.
• Vulnerability management, CVE handling and prioritisation.
