Senior QA Engineer - Web, Mobile & TV Apps

About the role

E Technologies, a technology and media company, is hiring a Senior QA Engineer for its Islamabad office (on-site, full-time). The engineer ensures the quality, stability, performance and visual accuracy of web, iOS, Android and Smart TV applications before every release, covering test strategy, manual and automated testing, API testing, regression testing, defect management and a documented QA process.

Key responsibilities

• Own quality for web, iOS, Android, tablet and Smart TV apps from requirements to release
• Review user stories and acceptance criteria early, and create and maintain test strategies, plans, cases and test data
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, exploratory and cross-browser testing
• Compare delivered features against approved Figma designs and report visual inconsistencies (spacing, typography, colours, component sizing, responsive behaviour, interface states)
• Build and maintain automated test suites for web, mobile and APIs, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
• Test on real iOS and Android devices across OS versions and screen sizes
• Log reproducible bugs in Jira and verify fixes; track quality metrics such as defect trends and test coverage
• Document and improve QA processes, mentor junior team members and collaborate with developers, designers, product owners and project managers

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software QA experience across web and mobile apps, owning QA for complete applications
• Exceptional attention to detail and an "Eagle Eye" for visual and UI inconsistencies against Figma designs
• Ability to work independently, prioritise testing and meet release deadlines
• Must include at least two complete web or mobile applications tested personally in the CV, with application name, purpose, links, your role and testing performed

Required skills

• Manual testing, test case design, exploratory and regression testing
• Test automation with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or Appium, and scripting in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or Java
• API testing with Postman or similar
• Jira for test and defect management
• Nice to have: Smart TV/media platform testing, payment/donation flows, performance testing (JMeter, k6), accessibility (WCAG), CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), test management tools (Zephyr, Xray, TestRail), basic SQL, Vue.js/Nuxt or Laravel, ISTQB certification
