Senior React Native & React Engineer (Lead)

About the role

A highly senior engineer is sought to own frontend and mobile applications at lead level, making independent architecture decisions and turning ambiguous product needs into production-ready applications. The work is AI-first: engineers use AI agents and tools such as Cursor and Claude to speed up research, planning, implementation, testing and refinement, while keeping full ownership. The role is on a lean team, fully remote, paid in USD, with EST or PST aligned hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own frontend and mobile architecture across React.js, React Native and Next.js, making independent decisions on scalability, maintainability, performance and reliability
• Build production-grade applications in TypeScript across web and mobile, and work with GraphQL APIs and clean integration patterns
• Define scalable engineering patterns and set quality standards for architecture, code structure, testing, responsiveness and developer experience, including AI-generated and manually written code
• Set technical direction, collaborate with clients on requirements, and contribute to system design, performance and testing strategies
• Use AI-first workflows with tools such as Cursor and Claude, and apply basic knowledge of Kotlin/Java and Objective-C/Swift for React Native integrations and debugging

Required profile

• At least 5 years of hands-on development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience designing, developing and maintaining production web and mobile applications
• Ability to make architecture decisions independently, communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders, and pass a background check with good references
• Full-time availability in a remote environment
