Senior Secondary Design Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Secondary Design Engineer you will lead the secondary engineering and design of high‑voltage (HV) substation projects. You will create protection and control solutions, produce detailed engineering documentation, and support the integration of substation automation systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop secondary engineering designs for HV substation projects, including Single Line Diagrams, Protection Logic Diagrams and Interlocking Logic Diagrams.
• Gather and review technical inputs, prepare signal lists for SAS, SCADA, protection, alarm and fault‑recording systems.
• Select protection relays and Bay Control Units (BCUs) according to project specifications.
• Design Local Control Cabinet (LCC) and Protection & Control panel schematics.
• Prepare interface documentation and termination details for equipment integration.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure consistent project execution.
• Support project management and customers during technical reviews and approval processes.
• Ensure all deliverables meet project specifications, applicable standards and quality requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in secondary engineering or design, preferably on HV substations.
• Proven experience preparing protection and control documentation for transmission and distribution projects.
• Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills with a customer‑oriented mindset.
