Senior Software Engineer - Laravel

About the role

At Dubizzle Labs we are expanding our Pakistan engineering office of over 300 engineers. We seek colleagues who love to learn, perform, and teach, and who can help deliver high-quality products to customers across 10 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core product software and databases to ensure optimization and functionality.
• Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle.
• Develop and deploy new features and related tools as needed.
• Design applications according to specifications.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best development practices.
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
• Maintain, expand, and scale the site.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and apply them to operations.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of software development experience, preferably with Laravel, React/Vue, MySQL, PostgreSQL and AWS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and front-end development, capable of creating pixel-perfect landing pages.
• Understanding of OOP principles (PHP), JavaScript and MVC frameworks.
• Ability to write good tests and produce testable code.
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript and SQL.
• Solid grasp of web application security, session management and best practices.
• Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and web services development.

Required skills

• Node.js, React and Next.js experience.
• Experience with Strapi CMS.
• Experience with WordPress.
