About the role

Smart Working is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a UK‑based hospitality technology company. This is a long‑term, fully remote position that focuses on building and maintaining high‑performance web applications using modern JavaScript technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications with TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js.
• Build robust frontend and backend features while ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate requirements into high‑quality software solutions.
• Write clean, reusable, well‑tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to scalable architecture decisions.
• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and uphold high code‑quality standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues to maintain application stability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and engineering practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with TypeScript.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Node.js.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Next.js.
