Senior Solar Installation Engineer

About the role

NK Solar Energy Services is looking for a Senior Solar Installation Engineer to lead engineering design and on‑site technical operations for residential, agricultural and commercial solar projects in Sialkot and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer load profiles and select the optimal inverter type and capacity (Hybrid, On‑Grid, Off‑Grid).
• Design, configure and install advanced lithium battery storage systems, ensuring proper CAN/RS485 communication between BMS and inverters.
• Create technical drawings, single‑line diagrams, DC/AC string layouts and earthing schemes using PV modelling software.
• Conduct site assessments, including structural integrity, solar irradiance, shadow analysis and electrical infrastructure evaluation.
• Supervise the deployment of PV modules, inverters, racking and protection boxes, acting as the primary project manager.
• Ensure compliance with NEPRA, local DISCO regulations and international safety standards.
• Lead system commissioning, perform detailed testing and troubleshoot complex communication or electrical faults.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in solar system design, engineering and on‑site installation.
• Expert knowledge of lithium‑battery chemistry, BMS configuration and inverter communication.

Required skills

• Inverter selection and configuration (Hybrid, On‑Grid, Off‑Grid).
• Lithium Battery Management System (BMS) integration, CAN/RS485 protocols.
• PV modelling software and single‑line diagram creation.
• AC/DC wiring, net‑metering protocols, structural earthing and lightning protection.
• System commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of electrical/communication faults.
