Senior Staff Accountant

About the role

Contour is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and support reporting across the organization. The role works closely with the finance team to ensure timely and precise accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record day‑to‑day financial transactions in Microsoft Dynamics GP and post invoice batches.
• Prepare AR aging reports, manage customer payments, and reconcile AR sub‑ledger to the General Ledger.
• Process accounts payable, ensure correct coding, and post invoices into GP.
• Assist with state sales tax compliance, monthly financial statement preparation, and variance analysis.
• Generate SmartView reports, handle inter‑company journals, and support balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Implement process improvements and undertake special projects as needed.

Required profile

• Professional Accounting qualification or equivalent degree in Finance/Accounting.
• Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately with numbers and data entry.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics GP (GP) accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
• SmartView reporting tool.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
