Senior Tax Manager – Karachi

About the role

The Senior Tax Manager will lead tax advisory and compliance engagements for a diverse client base in Pakistan. This position combines client relationship management, strategic tax planning, and team leadership to deliver high‑quality tax services.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs and providing proactive tax advice.
• Lead and manage tax compliance engagements, developing and implementing planning strategies to optimise clients' financial positions.
• Supervise, mentor and develop a team of tax professionals, ensuring delivery of accurate and timely work.
• Monitor changes in Pakistani tax legislation, conduct technical research and propose solutions.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the tax practice through networking and relationship building.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tax practice within a reputable advisory or compliance firm.
• In‑depth knowledge of tax laws applicable in Pakistan.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring junior staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Hands‑on expertise in IRIS (online tax portal).
