Senior Upwork Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Upwork Business Development Manager to lead and expand our profitable Top Rated Plus agency on Upwork. Based in our Lahore office, you will own the end‑to‑end sales pipeline, craft high‑impact proposals, and turn the channel into a scalable business development department.

Key responsibilities

• Write tight, persona‑tailored proposals for software, design, and AI projects, testing hypotheses and building repeatable playbooks.
• Own the full sales pipeline – discovery, qualification, client communication, and closing – with senior support at the final stage.
• Select high‑quality jobs using budget signals, hire history, and strategic fit; respond to inquiries within 10–20 minutes.
• Develop and execute the channel’s strategy, set performance targets, and make data‑driven decisions to double output.
• Curate and optimize the agency’s Upwork profile, case studies, and portfolios while protecting Job Success Scores and Top Rated Plus status.
• Manage Upwork ranking mechanics, Connects, and Boosted Proposals strategy, ensuring full compliance with Upwork’s Terms of Service.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of proven success on Upwork with documented closed revenue.
• Deep knowledge of Upwork’s platform, ranking algorithms, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in software, design, or AI service sales is essential.
• Full‑time, on‑site availability in Lahore.
