Senior Video Editor & Social Media Content Strategist

About the role

Unigenius Consultants is seeking a creative Senior Video Editor to lead the production of engaging short‑form video content for its social media channels. You will oversee the entire video workflow from research and concept development to editing, publishing, and performance analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Research competitors, trends and social media activity to generate original video ideas and maintain a content calendar.
• Write compelling scripts with strong hooks, clear messages and calls‑to‑action.
• Provide the recording team with detailed briefs, shot lists and filming guidance.
• Edit footage into high‑quality videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and other platforms, handling pacing, transitions, text overlays, subtitles, motion graphics, colour correction, grading, music and sound design.
• Create thumbnails, cover images and platform‑specific captions, schedule and publish content, and monitor performance metrics to refine future videos.
• Organise project files, manage deadlines and revisions, and ensure brand consistency and accurate course information.

Required profile

• Strong portfolio of professional video editing and social‑media focused content.
• Proven experience developing concepts, writing scripts and editing short‑form videos.
• Excellent written English for scripts, captions and communication with the UK team.
• Reliable internet connection and a computer capable of professional video editing.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
• Motion graphics, typography, subtitle creation, colour grading and audio editing.
