Senior WordPress Developer – Build Custom Themes & Plugins

About the role

E Technologies, a dynamic technology and media company, is looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to design, build, and maintain custom WordPress solutions across its product range. You will work closely with UI/UX, backend, and marketing teams to deliver high‑performance, secure, and scalable websites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress sites, including custom themes and plugins.
• Translate UI/UX and Figma designs into responsive, SEO‑friendly pages.
• Integrate third‑party APIs, payment gateways, forms, CRM tools, analytics, and marketing platforms.
• Optimise site speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall user experience.
• Maintain security, backups, updates, and follow best‑practice standards.
• Troubleshoot bugs, plugin conflicts, theme issues, and hosting problems.
• Manage custom post types, taxonomies, menus, templates, and page‑builder structures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure website requirements align with business goals.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional experience in WordPress development.
• Strong command of professional English communication.
• Proven ability to work in a team‑based development workflow using Git.

Required skills

• WordPress core, theme and plugin development.
• PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Responsive design and UI implementation from Figma/Adobe XD.
• Elementor, Gutenberg, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), WooCommerce.
• WordPress REST API, custom post types, taxonomies, hooks, filters, shortcodes.
• Performance optimisation, caching, image optimisation, Core Web Vitals.
• Security best practices, backups, updates, hosting environments.
• Git version control.
