Senior/Lead Electrical Design Engineer – HV Substations

About the role

We are seeking a Senior/Lead Electrical Design Engineer specialized in primary HV substation design (up to 220 kV) to support renewable energy and power infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design AIS/GIS HV substations up to 220 kV, including indoor and outdoor layouts.
• Perform earthing system design, grounding calculations, and lightning protection design.
• Prepare cable sizing calculations, cable layouts, and equipment selection.
• Conduct load flow, short‑circuit, and reactive power compensation studies.
• Develop engineering drawings, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Support BOQ preparation, technical proposals, and procurement activities.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC and IEEE standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in HV substation primary design.
• Experience with AIS/GIS substations up to 220 kV.
• Strong knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards.
• Excellent technical reporting, analytical, and teamwork skills.
