Senior/Principal Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails

About the role

Creative Chaos is seeking a Senior/Principal Software Engineer specialized in Ruby on Rails to develop and maintain server‑side applications and RESTful APIs for various platforms. The role involves ensuring high performance, security, and reliability while mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and estimate tasks.
• Write clean code, unit tests, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with team members, clients, and update issue tracking systems.
• Optimize applications for security and performance.
• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.

Required profile

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3‑8 years of experience with Ruby on Rails and its ecosystem.
• Proven experience building large‑scale production web applications with API interfaces.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and English communication skills.

Required skills

• Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Devise, Pundit.
• RESTful API development and RSpec testing.
• JavaScript (ES6), HTML, CSS.
• SQL and complex query writing.
• CI/CD pipelines, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
