Service Technician (Mechanical/Electrical)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Service Technician with expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems. The role involves installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment to ensure reliable operation and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, systems, and components.
• Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, control panels, and other industrial machinery.
• Assemble, test, calibrate, and maintain machinery, electrical wiring, and control systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Replace or repair defective components using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Fabricate, modify, and assemble parts as required.
• Conduct equipment inspections, prepare service reports, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Collaborate with technical and operations teams and communicate findings to customers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Diploma, associate degree, or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience servicing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and control panels.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
• Good understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
