Shift Maintenance Lead – Mechanical

About the role

The Shift Maintenance Lead – Mechanical is responsible for eliminating maintenance‑ and breakdown‑related losses while keeping costs low. You will build capability within operating teams and equipment owners to meet business needs and ensure product integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and execute the daily plan.
• Own breakdown elimination and maintenance planning & scheduling (MP&S).
• Review and prioritize SAP notifications during shifts.
• Improve processes to reduce market complaints and safeguard product quality.
• Provide DDS updates on preventive maintenance and propose tasks for planned stoppages.
• Drive results in both planned and unplanned downtime.
• Implement measures to improve machine‑related GMP.
• Close safety and incident observations on the HSE portal promptly.
• Encourage shop‑floor staff to share ideas for process improvement.
• Continuously refine processes for cost‑effectiveness.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on critical breakdowns using appropriate tools.
• Maintain a motivated team and ensure succession through training and coaching.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of engineering experience in the food or CPG/FMCG industry.
• Strong operational and manufacturing background with expertise in TPM, 5S, Lean, Six Sigma, safety and GMP standards.
• Knowledge of GMP, OSHA, EPA regulations and related food‑factory codes.
• Proficiency with SAP.
