Site Reliability Engineer (PST hours)

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, availability, and operational excellence of our cloud infrastructure and data pipelines. The role works on Pacific Time (PST) hours, Tuesday through Saturday, collaborating with developers, designers, and engineers across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the reliability of GCP‑based services, including GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, and Cloud Functions.
• Design, implement, and monitor observability solutions using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Manage and optimize large‑scale data pipelines with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Firestore, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Apache Beam.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Respond to production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive post‑mortem improvements.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and ensure adherence to SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong background in designing monitoring, alerting, and observability systems.
• Proven ability to manage batch and streaming ETL/ELT workflows.
• Experience with cost‑optimization in Google Cloud environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
