SOC Analyst Level 1 – Cybersecurity Operations

About the role

As a SOC Analyst L1 at Alykas, you will be the first line of defense protecting US‑based clients from cybersecurity threats. Working in a multi‑tenant Security Operations Center, you will monitor security events, perform initial triage and support incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events generated by advanced security solutions.
• Perform initial triage and analysis of alerts to assess legitimacy and severity.
• Investigate Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and document findings.
• Escalate confirmed or suspicious incidents according to procedures.
• Create and maintain case notes, investigation records and incident reports.
• Support threat hunting and security monitoring initiatives under senior analysts.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience in a Security Operations Center, IT security or related cybersecurity role.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, networking and operating systems.
• Familiarity with SOC technologies such as SIEM, EDR, XDR or Email Security platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Linux and Windows administration.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Python or Bash.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain frameworks.
