Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading global financial services firm. The role is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining core financial platforms that handle real-time transactions for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise backend services for high-volume financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third-party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Implement security controls to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable code and create unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot production issues to ensure system reliability and minimal downtime.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development using Java, Python or Go.
• Background with financial transaction systems, payment processing or related domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases for financial data storage.
• Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration.
