Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a global leader in financial services. The role focuses on building and maintaining core backend systems that enable real‑time financial transactions for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for processing financial transactions.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement security measures to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure high system reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience with backend development using Java, Python or Go.
• Background in financial transaction systems, payment processing or related domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture and API design.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to write unit and integration tests and work with CI/CD pipelines.
