Software Engineer – Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a global leader in data infrastructure and analytics. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable platforms that process large volumes of human‑generated data. You will work remotely with a distributed team of engineers, data scientists, and analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise data pipelines for real‑time and batch processing of human‑generated datasets.
• Develop and maintain backend services that support high‑throughput data workloads.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and usability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, performance, and security.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go for backend development.
• Experience with distributed systems such as Kafka or Spark.
• Hands‑on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
