Software Engineer - Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a global leader in data infrastructure and analytics. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable platforms that process large‑scale human‑generated datasets. This is a fully remote, full‑time position.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise data pipelines for batch and real‑time processing of human‑generated data.
• Build and maintain backend services that support high‑throughput data flows.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, performance and security.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail when debugging complex systems.
• Experience working with distributed systems and cloud‑based data infrastructure.
• Understanding of data governance, security and compliance best practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Java or Go.
• Experience with Kafka, Spark or similar distributed processing frameworks.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP or Azure for data services.
• SQL and NoSQL database expertise.
• Containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
