Software Engineer in Test – Lead

About the role

The Software Engineer in Test – Lead will own the quality assurance strategy and execution for TCP’s product suite, ensuring high‑quality software across web and mobile platforms. This hands‑on leader will actively contribute to testing while mentoring a team of manual and automation engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of QA engineers across manual and automation testing.
• Define and implement the overall QA strategy, covering manual, automated, API, and performance testing.
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing features.
• Drive automation initiatives using tools such as Playwright and Cypress to improve test coverage and reduce regression cycles.
• Design, execute, and review API and performance test cases using JMeter.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Operations teams and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software testing, including at least 2 years in a QA Lead or senior QA role.
• Strong hands‑on experience writing automation test scripts and frameworks.
• Ability to mentor team members, conduct 1:1s, and create development plans.

Required skills

• Automation tools: Playwright, Cypress.
• Performance testing tool: JMeter.
• Version control: Git.
• API testing concepts and tools.
• Experience with web and mobile application testing.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
