Solidworks Expert – Remote Full‑Time

About the role

CADi Pro is seeking a Solidworks Expert to join its remote team. The specialist will create and refine detailed 3D models and 2D mechanical drawings for components, assemblies, and tooling, supporting the full prototype‑to‑production workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update high‑quality 3D models and 2D drawings in Solidworks.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and prepare CNC‑ready and injection‑molding designs.
• Collaborate with engineers and product developers to ensure designs meet client specifications and manufacturing constraints.
• Review and validate designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with GD&T standards.
• Maintain revision histories, documentation, and support prototype‑to‑production transitions.
• Communicate technical details with manufacturing partners as needed.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Solidworks, including part modeling, assemblies, configurations, and drawing creation.
• Experience with 2D mechanical drafting and GD&T.
• Proven ability to model complex mechanical systems, including surfacing and sheet‑metal design.
• Applied knowledge of DFM, CNC‑ready tooling, and injection‑molding design.
• Familiarity with machining, molding, and fabrication processes.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects remotely and meet deadlines.
• Relevant technical education (e.g., Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
