Solution Architect – Retail Banking

About the role

The Solution Architect will design and review optimal solution approaches for Retail Banking Group initiatives, ensuring alignment between business requirements and enterprise technology strategy. The role works across agile squads and waterfall‑managed systems of record, collaborating with business, product, engineering and technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and design solutions that meet evolving business needs while adhering to Enterprise Architecture standards.
• Drive adoption of APIs and micro‑services, including external partner integrations and internal service orchestration.
• Guide engineering teams in building robust, scalable products and platforms, embedding non‑functional requirements such as performance, availability and scalability.
• Promote reusability, extensibility and modernization initiatives across retail platforms.
• Provide security architecture guidance for customer‑facing applications and ensure compliance with GDPR/PII standards.
• Maintain a technology radar to track emerging trends and recommend innovations.

Required profile

• 15+ years of application development experience, including 5+ years in solution architecture.
• Strong banking technology background with at least 5 years of experience on banking applications.
• Proven ability to work in both agile digital squads and waterfall‑managed systems of record.
• Experience in senior stakeholder management and creating high‑level and low‑level designs.
• Enterprise Architecture certification (TOGAF) preferred.

• OAuth2.0, FAPI2.0, TLS, mTLS, GDPR/PII compliance.
• Multi‑cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, Agile DevOps methodology.
